Act IV--Inference

What does Elizabeth mean when she says that her husband "have his goodness now," and "God forbid I take it from him" (134)?

  1. Elizabeth means that the least she can do for her husband is leave him be since all he wanted was his good name, as he had told his truth, and saved other Salemites from being unjustly hanged at the cost of his own condemnation.
